Last week, Bill and Sandy Marble came bye for a visit. It was great seeing them. They were wonderful guests. Since they could only stay one day, we had to pack a lot into a short time. We started out with a trip to Deception Pass, then on up to the top of Mt. Erie. It was foggy over the ocean so the view from the top was very interesting. After that, we went to the Anacortes shipyard where we saw the work on a large container ship. The ship has been in construction over a year and is huge. After that, we visited a couple of local shops. Then, we went to lunch at Seabolds in Oak Harbor followed by a trip to Coupeville for ice cream and sightseeing. We ended up at Ft. Casey where we climbed over the guns and saw the lighthouse. Later, we took the Marbles on the bluff hike at Ft. Ebey. By then it was late afternoon, so we went home and packed a picnic dinner for a trip to Bowman's Bay. Love that place! Finally, we went back to Anacortes for some donuts and on home. It was great fun.
