Mom and I got up early today to work at the church. We joined a number of members in spreading bark among the planters around the building. What set this work project apart was that the temp was freezing and it was pouring rain. After a couple of hours we were soaked. But spirits were high and we had a lot of fun. I was impressed to see men in their 70's out shoveling with the rest of us.

On the way home, we found the roads covered in snow and our house bedecked in white. It was beautiful. We just wish the kidos could have been here to see it. Some familes were out making snowmen. Amara and Ethan would have had a blast.

To our surprise, the weather cleared in the afternoon and the snow melted. Mom and I went down to the cove and looked for rocks. We also watched the runoff pour over the side of the hill and make its way to the ocean.
