I was watching the news last night about an elderly woman who was the victim of a hit and run in Sacramento. She was crossing a busy street in her wheelchair when a speeding driver hit her broadside and killed her. But here's the rest of the story ...
Her son, who is also confined to a wheelchair, was right behind her when the accident occurred. He said that when his mother was hit she was sent flying, but while she was in the air she called out: "I love you, Johnnie!"
To think that at such a time her first and only thought was for her son, is an amazing testament of a Mother's love. I could say more, but words fail me.
