Update

Hi. Mom and I are still enjoying Oak Harbor. Today we went to Coupeville to see the Old English Morris Dancers and then on to Fort Casey for the kite festival. The group photo is of everyone watching the dancers. You can see Mom, Hazel, Dick and Janet on the right if you look closely. And, we continue to see marvelous sunsets as well. We are having a ball on the Island.

This group was called the Mossy Backs and hailed from Vancouver.

This group is known as the Black Sheep and came from Seattle. There were three groups dancing rural jigs down mainstreet.

These kites were amazing! They were colorful and unique and literally numbered in the hundreds. I talked to one fellow who was flying 120 kites on a single string. Pretty impressive.
This parachute-type kite was one of my favorites. It was huge and could be seen far down the road.
Awesome sunsets.
So far, this is our best view of the Olympics on the peninsula. Kinda looks like the Misty Mountains, doesn't it?
